Marketing with TikTok

TikTok is originally a Chinese-based app and has now moved nationwide in the previous years. By 2018 it because the 3rd most downloaded app in the world. I personally think TikTok is a great way for business to build their brands and help promote awareness. In recent years, marketing on TikTok has definitely risen. I believe this has risen because of the popularity of the app. Pretty much everyone I know owns TikTok and is on it very frequently. I catch myself staring at my phone scrolling through TikTok for hours at a time. It is a very addicting social media app that businesses can help users in their favor. Recently, I have started to see more ads pop up on my page than usual. Ever since I got the app last year the amounts of advertisements by the business have risen at a high rate. Another thing I have noticed recently is the number of businesses that is partnering up with well-known creators to help get their product awareness and to gain popularity. If people see their favorite TikTok star liking and using a product or business, then more customers are more likely to purchase it and use it also. According to Essentials of Social Media Marketing, over 1,000 major brands are using the app to help build their brand and 47% of users have stated that they have bought something that they saw on the app. That means for all the users on TikTok about one-half of them have bought something they have seen. That is a very efficient way of marketing and advertising your product and I expect more marketing and advertising to go through TikTok in the coming years.

  1. Noah, i find it so crazy how TikTok blew up over the quarantine. Now that TikTok has become very popular, i'm starting to see a bunch of people use the platform to market their brand. I have purchased some self-made clothing products that I found through TikTok. I agree when you stated that you catch yourself scrolling though TikTok for hours. Good work Noah!

Coming to an End

If you are following the football team and our season, you know that this is the season's last week and last game. I am not going to lie, it has been a very long season for us. We are currently 2-7 which is very unfamiliar territory for many players on our team. In high school, I never had a season with more than 3 losses, so this has been relatively different for me.  Even though our record doesn't show it, this has been the closest team that I have been a part of since coming to campus three years ago. In the future, that is what we are all going to remember. We are going to remember the relationships that we formed and that are going to last for the rest of our lives.  Some of the seniors that are graduating have been some of my best friends for the last three years. I actually live with two seniors that are graduating now. As this week has gone on and we continue to do events for senior week, it has gotten to be very emotional. I still don't think it has hit me that so

Football is Over

After days of practices, meetings, and games, it hurts to say the 2021 football season has come to a close. I know it hasn't necessarily been one of the better years this program has had but I loved every second of it. There really is nothing like going out with your brothers and playing 60 minutes of football, the game you love the most. If you haven't seen it already we lost in a devastating fashion. We lost on a hail mary ball in the endzone with 8 seconds left after driving down and scoring 30 seconds before that. That was the part that really stung. We, underclassmen, were doing everything in our power to try to send these seniors out on top and it just didn't work out. Now it is time to move on as much as it hurts. I am now a junior football-wise and the preparation for next season starts now. I definitely need to get to work this offseason. Last year we never really had an offseason. Since the Covid year moved everything to the spring we never really had any time of

Bounce Back

The game on Saturday was not fun. If you don't already know we got upset very badly at Musky. I don't think anyone on the team really expected us to lose this game. We had an iffy week of practice, but I don't think anyone really predicted that we would end up losing the game. In my personal opinion, I thought that we were the better team with more talented players, but we just didn't get it done. I felt embarrassed and upset after this game. I was in pure shock. I had a long bus ride home to think about how the game went as a whole and what we exactly did right and wrong. I did a lot of soul searching on the way home and I realized that I have to be better and it starts now.  What is most important now is to bounce back. There is no point in dwelling on this game anymore. There is nothing that we can do about it anymore so we shouldn't think about it. The only thing that we as a team can do is to bounce back. It all starts during practice. Everyone knows the saying
