NBA season is Back

 This week is the first week of true NBA basketball games. I am a huge fan of the NBA and watching the games. Most people hate watching basketball, but I love it. I especially like watching my favorite team, the Cleveland Cavaliers. Cleveland is currently playing in their first game as I type this blog. My roommate and I are glued to our seats and I am sure we will not be moving. I remember a few years back when Lebron left the Cavs to go to the Miami Heat, I was devastated. I grew up watching Lebron on the Cavs and I was sad to see him leave. I never stopped being a Cavs fan though. I remember when I was in middle school my parents brought me to a Cavs game and I fell in love with the team even more. That is when I knew I would be a fan for life. Then Lebron made the decision to come back to his hometown and compete for a championship. I remember watching his announcement sitting on my living room couch. It literally made my entire week. It was even better watching Lebron lead the Cavs to NBA finals many years in a row. Finally, in 2016, Lebron finally accomplished his goal. He brought a championship back to Cleveland. It was a huge moment for the city and I thought it was a huge moment for me too haha. Now the Cavs start another season and I am so excited to watch them. No matter what I will always love the Cavs.

    I totally get the struggle of being a Cavs fan. Living in Cleveland, you are almost forced to like any Cleveland sports team. The struggle of watching LeBron leave was the worst wave the city could go through. I remember being downtown during one of the final games watching and the whole city erupting when we won. Cleveland fans are loyal all the way. You just have to keep that mindset and stick it out!

Thanksgiving Break

 Right about this time in the semester I really fellow students and I really start to get warn out of school. Schoolwork right around this time always heats up. Many of my classes are holding exams this week which puts on added stress with all of my other activities going on. What I really want and what my of my classmates want to come sooner is Thanksgiving Break. I know I am ready for it. Every day I wake up I am exhausted because I was up late doing homework the night before. I am also on football so the time where I could be doing homework and catching up on some sleep, I am at football and devote my time to that. Even though many students are not in athletics I can tell many of them are mentally drained. Many students are starting to not give sufficient effort to homework or exams anymore because they are just tired of it. I know I fall right into that category. Football is Over

 After days of practices, meetings, and games, it hurts to say the 2021 football season has come to a close. I know it hasn't necessarily been one of the better years this program has had but I loved every second of it. There really is nothing like going out with your brothers and playing 60 minutes of football, the game you love the most. If you haven't seen it already we lost in a devastating fashion. We lost on a hail mary ball in the endzone with 8 seconds left after driving down and scoring 30 seconds before that. That was the part that really stung. We, underclassmen, were doing everything in our power to try to send these seniors out on top and it just didn't work out. Now it is time to move on as much as it hurts. I am now a junior football-wise and the preparation for next season starts now. I definitely need to get to work this offseason. Last year we never really had an offseason. Friendsgiving

I had one of the best meals that I have had in a while last night. About twenty of my friends got together and had one big meal before we all went our separate ways for Thanksgiving break. The meal was especially good because it was prepared by one of my friend's mom. In the past, she has come up to campus to make us a home-cooked meal throughout the week and it is always so delicious, so I had very high expectations for this meal. It definitely did not disappoint.  This meal was a full Thanksgiving feast. Any food that you could have wanted on your Thanksgiving table was there. For the last couple of meals, I have been eating at the Wow Café here on campus and I was completely tired of it. So when my friend told me his mom was coming up, I was so excited. Our friend group definitely struggles with finding food to eat sometimes, so it is almost refreshing to not have to find something to eat.
