Can Twitter Help Your Business?

As technology advances and social media becomes more prominent as the years go by, more and more businesses are hopping onto these social media platforms to try to promote their business and build their brands. Is using social media the best way to do this? In my opinion, I think it is the best possible way to get your name and business out there nowadays.

Twitter currently has over 350 million active users. This is a hotspot for a business to promote their brands and help get their name out there. There have been many times where I am scrolling through my personal Twitter account and come across a product that I find interesting. I then go to the product's company website and looking deeper into the product. On some occasions, I have even bought the product that I saw on Twitter. This isn't just happening to me, this is happening to millions of people worldwide. Just one tweet can reach millions and millions of people which can work wonders for your company.

This also has a bad side. If the company or an employee of a company tweets something that is negative or poorly represents the company's standards that can be very detrimental to the program. This could cause so many problems such as losing the demand for your products and stock plumenting. However, if a company and its employees are smart and post only positive content on their pages they should be able to connect with millions of people around the globe to help build their brand. 79% of Twitter users are outside the US.

Twitter is a great tool for businesses to connect with customers, no matter where on the globe they are. Just one post can reach an audience of millions and if they are smart with their content Twitter can be huge for building their brand.

  1. That’s a very good point about a bad Twitter post having a detrimental affect on a business. Everything about Twitter that helps amplify a post and bring attention to it quickly will also apply to bad posts. On other platforms where it takes longer for a post to go through its entire lifecycle there is a much larger period to delete a negative post before the impact is permanent. Even though Twitter posts last for a shorter period of time, it is important to be careful with what you post.

Coming to an End

If you are following the football team and our season, you know that this is the season's last week and last game. I am not going to lie, it has been a very long season for us. We are currently 2-7 which is very unfamiliar territory for many players on our team. In high school, I never had a season with more than 3 losses, so this has been relatively different for me.  Even though our record doesn't show it, this has been the closest team that I have been a part of since coming to campus three years ago. In the future, that is what we are all going to remember. We are going to remember the relationships that we formed and that are going to last for the rest of our lives.  Some of the seniors that are graduating have been some of my best friends for the last three years. I actually live with two seniors that are graduating now. As this week has gone on and we continue to do events for senior week, it has gotten to be very emotional. I still don't think it has hit me that so

Football is Over

After days of practices, meetings, and games, it hurts to say the 2021 football season has come to a close. I know it hasn't necessarily been one of the better years this program has had but I loved every second of it. There really is nothing like going out with your brothers and playing 60 minutes of football, the game you love the most. If you haven't seen it already we lost in a devastating fashion. We lost on a hail mary ball in the endzone with 8 seconds left after driving down and scoring 30 seconds before that. That was the part that really stung. We, underclassmen, were doing everything in our power to try to send these seniors out on top and it just didn't work out. Now it is time to move on as much as it hurts. I am now a junior football-wise and the preparation for next season starts now. I definitely need to get to work this offseason. Last year we never really had an offseason. Since the Covid year moved everything to the spring we never really had any time of

Bounce Back

The game on Saturday was not fun. If you don't already know we got upset very badly at Musky. I don't think anyone on the team really expected us to lose this game. We had an iffy week of practice, but I don't think anyone really predicted that we would end up losing the game. In my personal opinion, I thought that we were the better team with more talented players, but we just didn't get it done. I felt embarrassed and upset after this game. I was in pure shock. I had a long bus ride home to think about how the game went as a whole and what we exactly did right and wrong. I did a lot of soul searching on the way home and I realized that I have to be better and it starts now.  What is most important now is to bounce back. There is no point in dwelling on this game anymore. There is nothing that we can do about it anymore so we shouldn't think about it. The only thing that we as a team can do is to bounce back. It all starts during practice. Everyone knows the saying
