As we are heading into the heart of the semester different activities and events are starting to pop back up. It seems like I am getting emails every five seconds from different fraternities, sororities, and campus student organizations inviting me to come to their events. For example, for one of my sport management classes, I get to attend a dodgeball tournament and complete that as one of my assignments. I think this is a cool way to interact with different people on campus and have some fun too. Due to Covid last year many of these events were cancelled or turned virtual which wasn't ideal. With Covid restrictions relaxing a little bit it is awesome to see the campus getting back to somewhat normal with all of these events going on.
As I said last year many of these events didn't happen. I personally didn't know many people on campus which was hard for me. I am a very outgoing social person and with not having events being held it was hard for me to meet people and adapt to campus. With some of these events starting back up it has given me the chance to go out and meet new people on campus which has been good for me.
Hi Noah! I am certainly not the most outgoing and extroverted person out there, but I definitely agree that ONU's campus activities last year, however limited they may have been, were beneficial in getting me to bond with other students and make new friends. The first time my current roommate and I spent time together was at the SPC's Arts & Crafts Night on the Tundra! I am looking forward to attending some more campus activities once my schedule clears up in the evenings.
ReplyDeleteNoah, I agree 100% with you, especially getting emails every five seconds, it's crazy. I loved the activities we could participate in my Freshman year before Covid hit us. I definitely enjoyed playing in the Mud Volleyball Tournament too! I agree with you, I am out-going and want to meet people so last year it was very hard to make that happen.
ReplyDeleteI would definitely agree on how annoying it is getting so many different emails in one day, it can get really annoying but also helpful with the amount of activities to do around campus. This year is so much better with covid slowing down in Ada, now that we're allowed to do more activities around campus. Covid ruined my freshman year that I wont get back, so ill definitely would be taking advantage of the opportunities of events.
