This past weekend and Monday and Tuesday we had a much-needed fall break. Our bye week for football also fell on this weekend so I was able to go home for about four days. It was so good to be home. My brother was home from college, so the whole family was home. Football and school can be very stressful so it was nice to get away from it all for a weekend.
I honestly didn't do anything over this break. It was so nice. At school, I am always on the go and it never stops moving. No matter what day of the week it is, I am always busy and on the run, so it was nice to just relax and not have to worry about doing anything over the break.
On Friday, I went to my alma mater's football game. I went to Coldwater High School in Coldwater, OH and we are having a pretty good year. It was nice to go and watch some of my former teammates play so well and to continue to have a good year. We were able to grind out another victory to go 8-0.
On Saturday and Sunday, I barely moved. I literally sat on the couch all day eating some good food and watching football all day. With my busy lifestyle, it was nice to just sit and not do anything. Thankfully I can always count on the Buckeyes to win with the Browns being a disappointment every week. Overall, it was a great way to spend my fall break and I am ready to attack the rest of this semester.
Noah, I couldn't agree more with you. Being a student-athlete can sometimes take a toll on you. It is nice to have a break sometimes and just sit back and relax.
ReplyDeleteNoah, it was definitely nice to relax for fall break. Although golf is not as demanding as football from a team practice standpoint, it was nice to be able to catch up on some sleep and see family this weekend.
